Microsoft's Xbox One months ago, with the understanding that it would be coming for Sony's PS4 shortly thereafter. And after an extended period of cryptic updates, it seems like the developer is giving it up. Neither Fallout 4

nor the upcoming Skyrim Special Edition will allow for mods on PS4, and Bethesda doesn't sound all too happy about it. From their website:
After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition.
Like you, we are disappointed by Sony’s decision given the considerable time and effort we have put into this project, and the amount of time our fans have waited for mod support to arrive. We consider this an important initiative and we hope to find other ways user mods can be available for our PlayStation audience. However, until Sony will allow us to offer proper mod support for PS4, that content for Fallout 4 and Skyrim on PlayStation 4 will not be available.
To read between the lines a little, it sounds like Sony was in support of mods on a theoretical level, but that the console manufacturer had too many restrictions for Bethesda to feel like it would be providing true mod support. Mod support on Xbox One is already a different beast from the anything-goes frontier on PC -- no copyrighted material, no nudity, no child murdering, limited file size, etc. -- but it appears that Sony had more restrictions still, and Bethesda decided that it had become unworkable. That's what I get from the 'approve user mods the way they should work' phrase.
These improvements allow for an almost political warfare type minigame to emerge, deepening the addiction of many rpg lovers worldwide. Some improvements include an alliance/traitor system, a faction culture system that helps lord not choose bad troops, a choice between domestic policy, some economic options, and a host of other anti-enemy options as well. With a detailed overworld map, engaging free-play campaign mode and epic army on army action, Warband still delivers an exciting single player campaign. However, the makes the single player campaign much deeper than almost any other mod. You see, a new addition to Warband is a much greater emphasis on Kingdom Management, and diplomacy allows for a great deal of freedom in that department. Mount and blade mods downloads.
Which is a real shame, and a big win for Microsoft. Xbox One just became the preferred platform for Fallout 4, and more importantly, for the Skyrim Special Edition out later this year. And it bodes well going forward too: Bethesda is one of the most important developers out there when it comes to mod ecosystems, but I could easily see other developers following suit if we start to see a much longer tail for Fallout 4 sales as a result. If Xbox becomes the only console platform that allows mods, it gains a major advantage over the PS4. But let's cross our fingers that Sony will eventually cave: mods are great, and I hope to see them spread.

IT JUST WORKS!
3 years agoI've realize that pacify is a pretty weak perk. The moment you put away your weapon, the enemy just jumps way back up!
Cuffs are in the game! Why in the hell can't I pacify targets and arrest them (maybe getting a little XP bonus for it)!? On another note, why not haul arrested NPC's to a settlement or wherever and have people take turns throwing tato's at them or stoning them to death? That'd be fucking sweet!
TL;DR: Have arresting pacified targets a thing.
